Gluent selected as a Cool Vendor in Data Management space by Gartner

“At a high level, data management consists of three core disciplines: storing data, integrating data and accessing data”, Gartner analysts write.

Traditionally the realm of DBMS, ETL and BI tools, we at Gluent believe data management has blossomed and evolved into a new and growing discipline of its own. The 2017 Cool Vendors in Data Management report outlines these changes and introduces the vendors helping to define this space.

Gluent addresses a company’s need to continue to use their existing systems while at the same time taking advantage of new less costly and more scalable, open data format systems such as Hadoop. Gluent Data Platform allows companies to offload data from traditionally expensive and closed RDBMS systems to more cost effective, scalable and open platforms on-premises or in the cloud, without the need for costly and brittle ETL workflows. Legacy systems are able to maintain transparent access to the offloaded data, data that exists in Hadoop can be presented to other RDBMS systems without a need for ETL development, and new modern analytics tools can access the data directly from Hadoop. Gluent has helped companies implement business-altering changes, enabling them to do what was previously considered impossible.
